NGW Auctions is pleased to present the American Sporting Traditions Auction, an online-only collection celebrating the rich history of American waterfowling, trapping, hunting, wildlife art, firearms, and sporting life. This auction features an impressive selection of vintage and antique working duck decoys, collectible carvings, early steel animal traps, sporting firearms, signed and numbered wildlife prints, duck and turkey stamp art, and related sporting Americana. Highlights include decoys attributed to renowned Havre de Grace carvers John “Daddy” Holly and James T. Holly, along with signed examples by Capt. Harry Jobes, Capt. Joey Jobes, Capt. Jess Urie, Floyd Midgett, Paul Turinsky, Jean Paul LaFramboise, Ardell Waterfield, and others. Newhouse Oneida Community, Oneida Victor, Victor, Blake & Lamb, Diamond Brand, Triumph, and other long-spring traps, including several desirable No. 4 examples, a Newhouse No. 44, a government-marked Victor trap, and an early Newhouse wolf trap.
