That Thrifting Show's Charity Auction Benefiting Lenox Hill Brain Tumor CenterBy Modern Day Auctions Auction starts to close on Wednesday, September 9 at 8PM EST Over 170 Lots to Bid on! Bid Now at moderndaybids.com This Special Charity Auction features furniture and accessories from Season 2 of Lara Spencer's That Thrifting Show. Your auction purchases will support the work and research of Dr. John Boockvar and his team at the Lenox Hill Neurosurgery Brain Tumor Center, part of Northwell Health, helping advance new treatments and care for patients with brain tumors including glioblastoma. That Thrifting Show is a thrifting and decorating competition show featuring two teams of interior designers creating beautiful rooms using only vintage or upcycled pieces. That Thrifting Show Season 1 is currently streaming on Hulu and Freeform. A note from Lara Spencer, "This auction is in honor of my late mother Carolyn von Seelen who taught me how to spot a diamond in the rough at a very young age. Thrifting was her love language and she was the inspiration for both of my shows—Flea Market Flip and That Thrifting Show. We just wrapped shooting season 2 -coming to Freeform and Hulu soon-and have over 150 treasures from the rooms and set, featured in this sale." 100% of proceeds from this auction will go directly to the Lenox Hill Brain Tumor Center’s research foundation. The work they are doing to extend the lives of people diagnosed with Glioblastomas and other forms of brain cancer is groundbreaking. When my mom was diagnosed we were told that without surgery, she would be gone in 6-9 months. Thanks to the experimental treatments developed by Dr. John Boockvar and his team, we were blessed to have more than two years with mom-creating memories and doing all the things she loved— including thrifting of course! So check out this fun and eclectic mix of furniture, art, decorative items and more. Make sure to bid in support of this very worthy charity to further research and medical advancements into this devastating disease. Be sure to watch the upcoming Season 2 of That Thrifting Show and see if you can spot your treasures. Happy Bidding! Auction pick-up in Norwalk, CT on Saturday, September 12 from 9am-1pm only
