As the longtime owner of McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg, Kenneth devoted himself to serving families throughout the New River Valley, providing compassionate care around the clock. Beyond his profession, he was deeply committed to his community, proudly supporting both Blacksburg and his hometown of McCoy, Virginia. Kenneth was also a devoted local historian with a lifelong passion for genealogy and preserving Virginia's rich heritage. That passion extended into collecting, where he assembled one of the most remarkable collections of Virginia license plate toppers you'll find anywhere. Representing communities, towns, cities, and municipalities from across the Commonwealth, this extensive collection showcases decades of Virginia history. Farmer Auctions is honored to present the first of four auctions from the Kenneth McCoy Collection. This inaugural sale features more than 900 lots of Virginia license plate toppers, offering an exceptional opportunity for collectors, historians, and Virginia enthusiasts alike. Also included are vintage advertising signs featuring Pontiac, Jeep, Harley-Davidson, DeKalb, and other well-known brands. Future installments from the Kenneth McCoy Collection will feature his impressive assortment of rescue squad memorabilia, including a large collection of fully tested emergency lights and sirens, followed by auctions showcasing his extensive funerary collection.
