Daughter Of Beat Poet Father El Cerrito Estate Sale: Read, Belly Dance, Quilt, Rugs, Sew Sew Much!

Kenneth Rexroth was dubbed “The father of the Beat Poets” by Time magazine, as he mentored that generation. He had a lovely daughter who definitely took after her artistic father who followed in his footsteps as a poet herself, and also was a devout Christian, seamstress, quilter, cook, and belly dancer! She also has lots of nice Persian rugs. She recently relocated, and we have the honor of doing her estate sale. Belly Dance: We’ve got the books, the music, jewelry and the costumes! Go for it! Quilt and Sew: There are nine sewing and quilting machines. Most are high-end, several Viking Husqvarna and Bernina machines. She’s got the software for many different types of embroidery hoops, a whole shelf of thread, and three rooms and a hallway of great “stuff” or notions to delight the “Sewist.” There’s also steamers and pressers. Walk on nice Rugs: Lovely hand-woven Persian and Turkish rugs in four different rooms and hallway. Admire the Furniture: Ming style Dining Table with 8 chairs, Boos butcher block kitchen utility cart, Herman Miller Aeron Office Chair, bentwood chairs, wooden filing cabinet and printer stand, Victorian Empire Dresser and Sideboard, living room chairs and end tables, patio tables and chairs, cement patio bench, yard statue Electronics: turntable, mini speakers, Gallo speakers, etc… Pray… Religion: Bookcases devoted to world religions, with an emphasis on Christianity and Buddhism, conference notes, religious art, and dare I say, belly dancing again (a religious art?) Dress in Fun Clothing: From such an avid sewist, she had a real appreciation for clothing. Japanese and Indian clothing, hand made purses, we’ve got lots of it, as well as a fun hat collection and lots of shoes! Listen and Watch!
