About the Artist: Baird Jannarl Baird Jannarl was an exceptional artist who mastered multiple media including drawing, oil painting, printmaking, and ceramics. She exhibited widely throughout the Pittsburgh region and had recently begun studying watercolor at the time of her passing. Her life’s passions were her family, her art, and her gardens. A dedicated and serious artist, Jannarl combined technical skill with thought-provoking content. She was an early advocate of the Three Rivers Arts Festival, exhibiting numerous times in its juried shows, and served as a visiting artist at Carnegie Mellon University. Deeply involved in the local arts community, she was active in the Pittsburgh Print Group, the Craftsman’s Guild, and the Carnegie Museum of Art, where she served as President of the Women’s Committee.
