We started working on this sale in May. It has been non-stop opening of boxes, cleaning, staging and displaying. Just when we thought we had finished opening boxes, we found 50 more in the crawl space that were packed away and forgotten. Most boxes have been packed away since 1974. An absolute time capsule. The house was built in 1958 and nothing has been done to it since. Original kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, windows, lighting. You name it, its original. But the contents of the house are even older. Most everything is Victorian. Almost nothing newer than 1950.This was the house of a local antique dealer who had been in the business locally for 70 years and locally since 1974. Sheoperated a longtime downtown Petaluma store. Her husband was a merchant seaman his mark is evident as well.You will not want to miss this sale.
