Curated Moving Sale & Rescue Fundraiser: Antiques/Clothes/Jewelry/House/Lawn

’m a young, eccentric professor at OSU with an Indiana-Jones Chic decor vibe and penchant for lugging heavy souvenirs back from my world travels. But as I transition to a new home, and in order to raise money for an animal shelter I work with in Peru, many beloved objects are in now need of new homes and new appreciators. There will be tons of jewelry and fabrics from my travels, nice vintage clothing in great condition, vintage Navajo rings of varying sizes, antiques, lots of animal statues (gold monkey anyone?), oil paintings, nice art prints. There will also be more standard moving sale fare: yard tools (why do I have three weed whackers?! Want one?), kitchenware (good knives, wine goblets, air fryer), tools, vases, pillows, etc. You want earrings from Charles bridge in Prague? Take your pick. Fabrics from India? choose your color. Did I mention the weed whackers?

I’ve posted a small taste of the selection, but if you see something you like in the photos, make me an offer and I’m happy to sell it in advance.

This is a fundraiser, so things are seriously priced to sell. Better we make a smaller amount for a good cause than donate unwanted items to goodwill. Proceeds from the sale go to victims of habitat loss and wildlife trafficking at the Amazon Shelter in Puerto Maldanado, Pero. They are the only reputable animal rescue and release shelter in the area, and the only in the region to successfully rehab and release endangered red howler monkeys (along with many other species). In September 2025, OSU students and I are volunteering at the shelter as part of a class I’m teaching. I’m donating the proceeds of this moving garage sale to fund the purchase and transport of important medical supplies and enrichment items which are crucial for the shelter’s continued successful care and release of endangered wildlife.
