Anne Allbeury Hock (1930–2025) Anne Hock was a celebrated artist known for her exquisite soft-focus realism and plein air landscapes. Born in Los Angeles, she studied music and art with artists such as Sister Corita Kent and Rex Brandt, and later at the Otis Art Institute. After moving to New York, she worked in advertising and fashion design while continuing her artistic training at the Art Students League and the National Art League. She further refined her style through workshops with Clyde Aspevig, Ted Goerschner, and the Plein Air Painters of America. After relocating to Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Anne became a founding member of the Plein Air Painters of the Eastern Shore and an active member of the California Art Club, Academy Art Museum, and other respected organizations. She exhibited extensively and taught throughout the region. Her paintings reflect the light and atmosphere of the Eastern Shore, California, Mexico, and New England. This sale represents a rare and final opportunity to acquire Anne Hock’s professional, museum-quality works — a lasting tribute to her artistic legacy.
