We shall be conducting a HUGE yard sale this Sunday the 21st, starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. We have posted some pictures of a few of the things that we have prepared and set-up. There will be no "early" sales prior to 7:00 a.m., so please, no "early birds" before 7:00 a.m. Look for the large orange sign on the corner of East Lake Road and Route 40, which is where the Wood Lanes Bowling Alley is located. We are attempting to clear out two sheds, a three-bay garage, and a 10' x 20' storage unit, so there will be a lot of merchandise offered this weekend! The sale will feature antique furniture, antique glassware and china, vintage and collectible items from all categories, and of course, household items. The furniture offered will be comprised of: two antique oak chests of drawers with mirrors; an antique mahogany dining table and six chairs; a walnut Victorian youth bed; a walnut Victorian Dining table; a wrought iron fireplace bench; several types of chairs; coffee tables; end tables; mirrors; framed artwork; bookshelves; two oak barrister or stacked bookcases, one an antique with a desk compartment, the other a reproduction with leaded glass; three Tiffany-styled leaded glass lamps; a television entertainment center; an antique arcade scale; plus many other items. The glassware and china will be comprised of: several dozen pieces of Lenox; sets and partial sets of vintage dinnerware; vases; candlesticks; Gorham glass; Mikasa glass; a vintage punch bowl set; an antique Ironstone pitcher and bowl; some stoneware and redware; several crystal stemware sets; several pieces of leaded glass; a large collection of Norman Rockwell Collector's plates; other Collector's plates; plus many, many other pieces of miscellaneous glass. The rest of the sale will be comprised of household items including small electric kitchen appliances, pots and pans, kitchen flatware, cooking utensils, several boxes full of books, several years worth of National Geographic magazines, a large coffee cup collection, Christmas items, silver plated serving pieces and candlesticks, lamps and lighting, artworks, hand tools, power tools, kids toys, several sets of stereo speakers, a small elephant collection, family board games, a pair of speaker/amplifier stands, costume jewelry, an antique Disston two-man buck saw, plus much, much more. The sale does not start until 7:00 a.m. on Sunday. Please do not come earlier, as no sales shall be made prior to 7:00 a.m., and my husband is very grumpy until his coffee kicks in around 7:00. We cannot state this plainly enough, as we shall be scrambling around with last minute details right up to the start of the sale, and do not wish to be short or impatient with "early birds". Simply wait until 7:00 a.m. for everyone's sake. Thank you in advance for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at the sale...just not before 7:00 a.m.!
