ONE DAY ONLY SALE! Sorry...no photos (explanation below,) so I will try to be descriptive. I have culled through around 50 large plastic bins and boxes of dreadfully delicious Halloween decor - both indoor and outdoor items and about 90% of what I own is up for sale! I have a bad back and I'm just getting too old and creaky to put it all on display. I have HUNDREDS OF ITEMS TO SELL! These are just a few.... Several high quality full-head masks (with hair, not just face masks)... Just a few costumes and a few wigs... Many electrical or battery operated gadgets. I will have AC power & batteries available for testing... A few large items, too, such as an awesome, fang-baring, flying bat with a 7-ft. wingspan made of felt (on a rubber body)... A 6-ft. tall free-standing birdcage that I transformed into a eerie-looking raven cage - raven included, of course... (I accidentally set that thing on fire one year....all the more creepy!! Fair warning! Take it from me...putting a candle inside with the bat and some added Spanish moss to creep it out is not a good idea unless you have a thing for 4-ft. flames).... A huge blow-up Count Dracula sitting in a coffin, and another 4-ft. diameter blow-up pumpkin (both blowups light up)... I know for a fact the pumpkin will need a little clear adhesive patch as it has a pinprick hole in it. But The Count I have only used once, so he's as good as new. And 3 life-size cardboard stand ups of The Hulk, The Mummy and none other than Elvira, Mistress of the Dark! These could fall into the "collectibles" category, but I'm not pricing them as such... I have party supplies...dishes & gory goblets...baskets...window and door dressings....spiders from big to small...and webbing in black and white....several types of table confetti...autumn and Halloween garlands, Halloween fabrics for tables...old lace table cloths...and lots of ugly white sheets! You'll need them to cover your furniture like an old abandoned house, right? Or make a ghost or two? Skulls....skeletons....rats....gargoyles....witches....pumpkins...ghosts...graveyard tombstones...a haunted house or two..."Caution" tape...and so much more... All kinds of lights - mini's, tube, black lights, strobe lights, standard-size in orange or bi-color bulbs...lights that look like eyeballs hiding in the bushes, skull lights, skeleton lights and more....so many different kinds of lights! All kinds of candle and tea light holders, including two 32" metal & glass displays that hold tea lights... And many creepy knick-knacks - like a crawling mummy's hand! How about some old books of ghost stories to put on display? A little Edgar Allan Poe? Need some eerie music to set the mood? How about some bottles and vials for your ghastly laboratory? A brain or a heart in cloudy water...so creepy. I have a XL "Family Morgue" lab coat, too. And a bib apron, with some bloody body parts attached. Put the two together....very gross indeed. (I once wore those and a mask, and sat frozen still next to my Weber barbecue grill...with a set of barbecue tongs in my hand. The Weber had been cleaned out, lined with foil, then filled with 200 orang mini lights...flickering, like a smoldering flame. On the grill? A skull and some bones. When some poor unsuspecting soul walked past me to get to my front door, I'd jump up with my tongs and a bone and ask, "Care for a rib!?!" There were other elaborate displays in the yard, so I was hardly noticed.....until.... :) Oh, my! That was a fun Halloween!!) We usually get around 200 little ghouls on our street as a few of us decorate more than just a pumpkin or two. Parents drove their children in from other neighborhoods. My house was always the one that went all out! But I had to cut back a couple of years ago; the bod just can't hack it anymore. Some items fit the "cute" category; some fits the "downright creepy" category. Many items I bought from Stat's in Pasadena - they always had the coolest stuff! Most everything is in perfect shape - and some things I've never even used! (Okay...so it was an obsession.) AND...ye gads! After going through all those boxes & bins, I realized I'm missing a few things! I haven't found the bins yet!!! I know there's more stuff lurking around here. Where's my fog machine, my gorgeous black cat luminaries, my glow-in-the-dark tree faces, my dancing tree ghosts, my Frankenstein doll??? This is an ABSOLUTELY HUGE SALE of my 20 years worth of collecting. Unfortunately, I am unable to upload the several photos I took today for this post. I am on a new Mac laptop, and for the life of me, I cannot get the photos to upload to CL, so I have another post sitting in the "draft" section of my account mentioning "the photos below"... Since I couldn't post that, I just had to start all over with this new post...sans the photos. Hopefully I can figure it out and make another post before next Saturday. If not, I will just repost this at least one more time. Please don't show up before 9am on Saturday, since I have so much to drag out and set up and if I have time to spare, I also have several boxes of table games and DVD's, as well as other items, I'd like to put out. I expect to start cleaning up around 2pm. Easy-To-Find Directions! From Foothill Blvd., turn south on Woodward. Pass Apperson & Apperson Street School. Pass Day St., then make a quick left On Cora, then another quick left on Beckett. 2nd house on the left. Left, left, left...and you're there. A peach-colored house. If you have anything specific in mind that you're looking for, just contact me through the CL mail relay thing and I'll get back to you.
