Bring containers and plan to pick up your furniture by 4pm Saturday. Location is on Stillwell Drive in Eden Roc Park on Hesperian. Follow signs and please observe parking restrictions. Thank you! What do we have here, you ask? Well. . . a whole lot of fun stuff. Estate includes complete furnishings and contents of a two bedroom, two bath unit. Every room is crammed to the rafters with. . .many, many things of wonder. And, to be honest, a lot of boring stuff, too. . .but boring is in the eye of the beholder! Attaching a few pix now with more to follow. Our energy has been depleted sorting, pricing, oohing and ahhing and, frankly, getting ready for YOU! Let's go room by room and see if anything tickles your fancy: SUNPORCH: This is where you will enter so we put some exciting things here to get you started! Straight ahead you will spy a vintage 5 piece iron patio set. Glider, two chairs, round table and small side table. White with floral cushions. Could not be cuter! There is a lovely collection of treasured table linens. Brightly patterned cotton tablecloths that barely show any use whatsoever. They have been painstakingly laundered, starched, ironed and folded away for HOW many years I cannot tell you. Stop and look! Also in this little room...suitcases including a many decades old (and totally stunning) Samsonite brown aligator case, a wicker side chair, a couple of big comfy upholstered chairs, an Arts and Crafts umbrella stand with original metal drip plate, a similar Arts and Crafts barrel style magazine rack with metal accents, a very modern TV stand, a big storage cabinet, two exquisite 1960s jacquard bedspreads (will fit a full or queen bed), sickroom supplies. Oh, and a chair full of stuffed animals. DINING/LIVING AREA: Let's start with major furniture. MAJOR! Pictured is an extremely substantial solid wood HEAVY drop leaf table with EIGHT chairs. All furniture in this home is of exceptional quality. Homeowner owned and operated a high end furniture store in the area for many years and she collected the very best. The dining set is by Nichols and Stone. Google produced some interesting data on the company if you are interested. Vintage, excellent condition. There is also a small sofa, a pair of recliners, a slew of lamps--table and floor styles--a solid wood coffee table, a pair of tiered end tables (visible in the pictures attached--covered with fun finds!) and a retro cool stereo cabinet filled with record albums. There are two cabinets (pictureed) full of glasssware and knick knacks as well as a built-in sideboard strewn with more glassware, imported tea pots and candles. Also staged in this area: boxes and boxes of Christmas decorations and wrap, electronics, cameras, books (including a 1921 and a 1932 National Geographic), Masonic and Shriner stuff (yes! We have the FEZ!!!) KITCHEN: Extensive set of that white with blue flower Corning Ware that everyone's nextdoor neighbor, aunt and best friend's mother collected back in the 1960s. Pristine condition. Complete set of vintage cookware--saucepans, double boiler, dutch oven. . .all with lids and clean as a whistle. Noritake Dutch Treat pattern dinnerware--service for eight with serving pieces (pattern was only made for a few years in the mid 60s). Tons of pyrex and Fire King glass bakeware--loaf pans, casseroles, baking dishes and pie pans. Lots of small appliances--coffee makers and percolators, toasters, mixers, crock pots. Cookie sheets, muffin tins, pizza pans, cutlery, utensils, mugs, cups, coasters, timers, glassware. About a million dishtowels and pot holders. Seriously. A LOT. BEDROOM ONE: Most prominent: A beautiful, solid wood bedroom set including a classic (read timeless design!) double bed and pair of night stands. This set is also from the homeowner's furniture store. Included with the bedroom set is a nearly new mattress and boxspring. . Priced separately is a desk. This room includes the women's clothing and accessories. Blouses, skirts, dresses, slacks, jackets (and oddly, about 8 ponchos), sleepwear, lingerie, a bizillion pairs of "silk" stockings and pantyhose, hats, gloves, shoes, scarves, hankies. Collection of knitting/crochet supplies. And boxes of linens to fill in the gaps. Ha. NO GAPS!! BEDROOM TWO: Another gorgeous bedroom set. Again, double size. Pair of night stands, a big double dresser and huge mirror, A sewing maching in a lovely cabinet with a cute ergonomic stool, a shoe shine machine (you've been looking for one of these, right?) a paper shredder, sewing supplies, linens and a BOATLOAD of really groovy guy clothes. Suits, jackets, slacks, shirts, shoes, ties galore. . .this is really fun stuff! BATHROOM: Okay, if you love to sift through beauty and grooming items from your youth (we are talking 20-30-40 years back) this is gonna be fun. And everywhere you look. . .knick knacks, sweet little figurines. . .stuff on the walls. .. Can't wait to get this stuff into your hands! See you 9am Thursday!!!!
