Griffin McConnell is an amazingly brave 8 year-old boy who just recently had a Left Functional Hemispherectomy (a complete disconnection of the left hemisphere of his brain), in an attempt to stop the seizures he's had for his entire life. While he's recovering, he'll be located at Children's Hospital Colorado for 2 to 3 months and will remained permanently disabled for the remainder of his life. The financial and emotional toll that this will have on his family is tremendous. Both of his parents had to quit their jobs so one parent could be with Griffin in the hospital and the other could be home with their other children (ages 1 and 6). To raise funding for Griffin and his family, there will be a HUGE garage sale on May 31st from 8am-4pm and June 1st from 9am-3pm. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. Thank you so much!
