Items will be priced low as the goal is simply to purge the unwanted items that were passed down to my girlfriend and I that have been piling up. The Material Assistance Program (MAP) acts as a one stop resource for those in need in the Greater Cambridge Area, alleviating immediate basic suffering while assisting clients in meeting their wider needs by providing critical information. MAP provides donated clothing, small household items such as linens, cookware and dishware and hygiene kits to individuals and families who could not otherwise afford these necessities. Volunteers sort donations to ensure that we only provide our recipients with items in excellent condition. Recipients gain confidence and feel a sense of community through "shopping" together in our storefront, all the while offering each other support and advice. Recipients are also provided with resources guides including all the information necessary to access local emergency shelters, soup kitchens, food pantries, SNAP benefits, employment and education opportunities and healthcare. MAP treats recipients with respect and dignity responding to them with simple and flexible resources to meet their needs. In 2012, MAP served just over 2,000 individuals and families, about 40 per week. Our recipients include individuals facing homelessness, elderly individuals on a fixed income, the working poor, domestic violence survivors, those who have recently become unemployed or displaced, young veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, refugees, low-income individuals who have experienced emergency situations such as bed bugs or fires and teen runaways who have left home due to bullying. Although, the majority of those we serve come from the Greater Cambridge Area and Boston, we regularly aid recipients from both the South and North Shore and the Metro West. MAP provides continued support to individuals regardless of the duration of their need; several recipients, such as individuals with a chronic illness on a fixed income, have utilized MAP's services for years.

Small furniture items, framed and unframed artworks, women's clothing, shoes and boots, linens, books, china, watches, miscellaneous antique, vintage, and kitsch goodies! You'll have fun! Also, "Cat veranda" (with instructions for window mount). Lots more goodies that aren't mentioned or pictured- and this is only my stuff!
