Camp Centaur is a free day horse camp for children affected by cancer--not only kids fighting cancer or in remission, but also their brothers and sisters, and children with a parent with cancer. We do year-round fund-raising events because every child attends for free! This sale will run THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY 9 AM to 5 PM. SEPTEMBER 18,19, 20 and 21, 2014. Many individuals and families and one living estate have contributed lots of interesting and useful things to this sale so come and shop and help the kids! We have lots of sports cards, basketball, baseball, football and hockey, muscle cars, singers, etc. Selling in groups only--we have BIG boxes full of smaller boxes and medium-sized boxes, sure to be some treasures, so far we have seen sets from the 1980's and 1990's but have only looked in two of the big file boxes--too many for us to look through. Lots of collectibles, housewares, cookware, decorative stuff, some furniture, tools, horse stuff, farm stuff, plus size ladies' clothes, gentleman's slacks, some nice jeans for kids and ladies, kids games toys, way too much stuff to list. WE have some new in the box stuff like wireless intercoms and Malibu lights and small appliances from the living estate. Look for the Hot Neon Pink "Sale" Signs with arrows. We are at 12580 W. Freeland Road (four driveways east of Orr Road on the North Side of Freeland Rd.) Freeland, MI We will have a big pink 'SALE' sign with pennants at the site. You can pull in to park or park on the shoulder, Lots of the stuff will be strictly donation, with a one dollar minimum but you can set the price. We ask you to open your hearts and be generous for the sake of these kids, who truly benefit from going to camp and learning to ride horses--actual scientific studies have repeatedly shown that kids affected by cancer who go to camp have elevated self esteem and maybe even more important, stronger immune systems as a result of their fun experiences. We encourage you to look into Camp Centaur on Facebook.
