Guatemala Garage Sale Saturday, May 18 (8AM-2PM) Spread the news and get the word out! Saturday, May 18th, The Brook is hosting a community-wide garage sale. ALL proceeds will go toward building houses this summer for families in need in Guatemala with Casas por Cristo. We are excited to be working with Casas for the 2nd year in a row, ministering to families who are currently living below what we would call the "poverty line". This will NOT be your average garage sale. We have refrigerators, TV's, entertainment sets, office furniture, sofas & love seats, thousands of items of clothing, kitchen appliances, electronic equipment, and much more. If you're looking for a piece of furniture to fix up & restore, we just might have one of those. And remember: Every CENT will go straight toward putting a roof over the head of a family in need. How awesome is that!! DONATIONS: If you are interested in DONATING items for the Garage Sale, you can drop off items at The Brook on Friday, May 17 (9-Noon). Some home-type items (such a panini maker, mugs with warmers, curtains, rods, end tables, a coffee table, jelly cabinet, desk), children's items such as a wooden doll cradle and wooden chair, a few toys and jewelry, a bathroom set, a small grill (most of these items are new in box).... and great prices! credit cards excepted for larger items
